ABOUT THE QUARANTINE MIXTAPE
My name is Celia, I’m a 24 year old music fangirl. From a very young age I always knew I wanted to become a rockstar, unfortunately due to my lack of musical talent this dream was soon diminsted. However, I transported my love for music to the internet and created a successful music Twitter blog at the age of 14 (Louis Tomlinson from One Direction followed me, it was a big deal!). Since then my love for live music grew and I started going to all the concerts and festivals I could afford as a broke student. I even did some radio presenting during my year abroad at uni!
Fast forward to April 2020, The Quarantine Mixtape was born. Having just finished my contract as a communications trainee, I found myself unemployed at my parents’ home with a lot of time to spare. I decided to put my free time and my newly-found skills in social media creation and campaigning to good use. The page originally started as a promotions Instagram to help up-and-coming artists promote their music. Since then, the page has evolved into a bustling online community, dedicated to creating free promotional opportunities for emerging artists.
